Privacy Policy
CreditInd is built around a simple principle: our comparison tools, calculators, and simulators run entirely in your browser and do not ask you to sign up, log in, or submit personal information to use them. This policy explains what that means in practice, and the limited circumstances in which some technical data may still be processed.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
You are not required to create an account, register, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier to browse the Platform or use its comparison tools, credit score simulator, reward calculator, EMI calculators, or Creddy AI assistant. Inputs you type into these tools (such as an example salary or spend amount) are processed locally in your browser to generate a result and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2. Information That May Be Processed Automatically
Like virtually any website, the underlying hosting and content-delivery infrastructure that serves the Platform may automatically log limited technical data for security, abuse-prevention, and basic operational purposes — for example, IP address, browser type, device type, and pages requested. This is standard server-level activity common to nearly all websites and is not used by us to build a personal profile of you or to identify you individually. We do not combine this data with any other source to identify you.
3. Data Retention
We do not retain personal data because we do not collect it through the Platform's tools. Limited technical/server-log data described above is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security and operational purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized in the ordinary course of our hosting provider's practices.
4. Security of the Platform
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Platform and its infrastructure, consistent with the "reasonable security practices" standard under Indian law, including the use of encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted administrative access to our systems, and routine monitoring for abnormal or unauthorized activity. Because the Platform does not ask for passwords, account credentials, or sensitive personal or financial information, there is no user credential database to be compromised in the event of a security incident.
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems, probing for security vulnerabilities without our permission, scraping or extracting data at scale, or otherwise attempting to breach, hack, copy, or misuse the Platform is strictly prohibited and is addressed in detail in our Terms of Use, including the consequences of doing so. If you discover a genuine security vulnerability, we ask that you report it responsibly through our Contact link rather than exploiting or publicly disclosing it, and we will make reasonable efforts to address confirmed issues.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies to follow you across the web. Details of what, if anything, is stored locally in your browser are set out in our Cookie Policy.
6. Third-Party Links and Redirects
When you choose to apply for a product, the Platform redirects you to the official website of the relevant bank, NBFC, broker, or their referral/affiliate network partner. Once you leave the Platform, that third party's own privacy policy governs any information you provide to them. We do not receive, see, or store the personal or financial information you submit on a third-party site. Some outbound links may pass through an affiliate tracking redirect operated by a referral network (for example, to record that a visit originated from CreditInd); this is used solely to attribute referrals for commission purposes and, to the best of our knowledge, does not involve the collection of your personal information by us.
7. No Sale of Data
We do not sell personal data, because we do not collect it through the Platform's tools in the first place. Where limited technical/server-log data is processed as described above, it is not sold to third parties.
8. Cross-Border Data Storage
Our hosting, content-delivery, and infrastructure providers may store or process limited technical/server-log data on servers located outside India in the ordinary course of standard cloud-hosting operations. Where this occurs, it is subject to that provider's own security safeguards, and we take reasonable steps to work with providers that maintain adequate security standards.
9. Your Rights
Because the Platform's tools do not require you to submit personal data, there is generally no personal data of yours in our systems to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us directly (for example, by email) and provided personal information in that correspondence, you may request that we delete or correct that information through our Contact link, and we will respond within a reasonable time in accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where it applies to us.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for use by adults capable of entering into financial commitments in their own jurisdiction and is not directed at children.
11. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, grievances or complaints regarding this Privacy Policy or the handling of any personal information may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at grievance@creditind.com. We aim to acknowledge grievances within a reasonable time and resolve them as promptly as possible.
12. Accessibility
We strive to make CreditInd usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, and aim to align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using the Platform, please let us know at contact@creditind.com so we can address them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version.
